In stillness, we connect: The gentle power of Savasana
Welcome to the circle.
At Puro Círculo Yoga, we believe in the healing power of presence. Our classes are more than movement, they are invitations to slow down, reconnect, and honor the natural rhythm of life and aging. This blog is a space where we share reflections from our practice, inspired by real moments, real people, and the quiet beauty of being.
There are moments in a yoga practice that speak directly to the soul , moments that ask for nothing but presence. One of those moments, for me, is Savasana.
Recently, during a quiet session, I paused to witness the peace radiating from a student lying in stillness. The waves in the distance, the breeze through the trees, and the softness of their breath created a powerful reminder: stillness is not empty. Stillness is full of connection, safety, and presence.
At Puro Círculo Yoga, we honor these sacred pauses. Our practice isn't about how deep you go into a pose, but how deeply you connect with yourself while you're there. Whether in movement or stillness, yoga invites us to return , to our body, to our breath, and to a sense of peace that often gets lost in the rush of daily life.
Savasana, the final posture of most classes, often looks like “just lying down.” But it's so much more. It's a space to let go of tension, of expectations, of mental chatter. It’s a moment to surrender and allow the nervous system to soften. It’s where integration happens. Especially for those of us navigating overstimulation, stress, or even neurodiversity, this posture can be a doorway into calm. It reminds us that healing isn’t always in doing, sometimes it’s in simply being.
In our circle, everyone is welcome to arrive as they are, with all their uniqueness, their stories, their rhythms. And together, we find flow. We find presence. We find rest. So as we move into the weekend, I invite you to take a moment to pause. Lay down, close your eyes, breathe deeply, and just be.
Because in stillness, we connect , with ourselves, with the world, and with the sacred pulse of life.
